1 Killed in Julian Crash on State Route 79 at Chambers Park Campground
JULIAN, CA (April 16, 2022) – A motorcycle crash killed at least one person on State Route 79 at the Chambers Park Campground in Julian.
According to an article published by the FOX 5 News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 10:51 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said two motorcycles collided for an unknown reason in Julian. They crashed on State Route 79 at the Chambers Park campground parking lot.
2 Motorcycles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Lake Cuyamaca. They confirmed that one rider died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased individual has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the wreck.
Officers forced a stretch of State Route 79 to shut down near the Chambers Park campground after the incident. The cause of the fatal Julian crash is still under investigation.
