Julie Lovell, 30, Injured in Marysville Crash on Simpson Lane
MARYSVILLE, CA (May 13, 2022) – Julie Lovell was hospitalized after a DUI crash on Simpson Lane in Marysville.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 30-year-old Marysville woman as the victim of the wreck which took place on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened when Julie Lovell was driving a truck north on Simpson Lane in Marysville. At the same time, another truck was going south.
CHP said the southbound vehicle then drifted into the opposite lane. In the process, the car slammed into the northbound truck north of Simpson Dantoni Lane.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found both vehicles with major front-end damage. Julie Lovell and the driver of the second truck ended up hurt as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel then took both patients to the Rideout Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The Action News Now wrote that the accident occurred at around 4:26 p.m.
Meanwhile, CHP determined that the other motorist was under the influence of alcohol when he hit the victim. They soon arrested him for DUI.
Officers forced a stretch of Simpson Lane to shut down following the wreck. The Marysville crash is still under investigation.
