Julio Hernandez, 51, Killed in Temecula Crash on Jefferson Avenue
TEMECULA (January 4, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident along Jefferson Avenue Thursday night, according to The Press Enterprise and Patch.
Riverside County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as 51-year-old Julio Hernandez, of Calexico.
As per the reports, deputies said Hernandez was in the roadway putting out safety orange cones for an unknown reason when he was struck by a vehicle.
The collision took place on January 3 at about 9:50 p.m. in front of a business in the 27900 block of Jefferson Avenue, near Las Haciendas Street.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the man suffering from critical injuries as a result of the crash.
He was immediately transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, officers affirmed that the driver of the car involved stopped after hitting Hernandez and cooperated with the authorities.
