1 Killed, 1 Injured in Jurupa Valley Crash Near Rubidoux and Castellano
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (July 21, 2021) – A crash killed one person and badly injured another near Rubidoux Boulevard and Castellano Road in Jurupa Valley.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on July 20 at about 5:10 p.m.
The incident began when a grey Ford Ranger was going north on Rubidoux Boulevard near Castellano Road in Jurupa Valley. At the same time, a white semi-truck was traveling south.
For an unknown reason, the pickup truck spun out of control. The Ford then slammed into a fence and drifted onto southbound lane.
Big Rig and Car Collide Head-On
The sheriff’s department said the Ranger ultimately collided head-on with the big rig. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced the driver of the pickup dead at the scene.
The male operator of the semi-truck sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took him to the Riverside Community Hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Rubidoux and Castellano to shut down for a time following the Jurupa Valley crash.
