7 Injured in Jurupa Valley Crash on Westbound 60 Freeway

JURUPA VALLEY, CA (April 16, 2021) – A car crash left several people injured along the 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley.

According to n article published by My News LA, the accident occurred on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:25 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol said a semi-truck and seven other vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed in the westbound lanes of the 60 Freeway.

Big Rig vs Car Collision Near Valley Way

The big rig jackknifed and blocked the slow lane and right shoulder of the highway. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene, east of Valley Way.

They extricated two trapped occupants from the wreckage. A total of seven patients, including the rescued individuals, ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

The victims sustained major to minor injuries upon impact. Medical personnel then took them to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, officers forced the roadway to shut down following the Jurupa Valley crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
