JURUPA VALLEY, California (September 20, 2016) –A driver was hospitalized early Tuesday after a major injury collision between a car and a pickup truck at Mission Boulevard and Golden West Avenue, according to the Press-Enterprise.
The crash took place about 4:50 a.m., police said.
Paramedics and police arrived at the scene to find the driver unresponsive and suffering from major injuries.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment while the other driver did not appear to suffer any significant injuries.
The crash is under investigation by the Jurupa Valley Traffic Team.
Police closed down Mission Boulevard at Opal Street, as well as Jurupa Road and Golden West Avenue.
Riverside County Accidents
There were 208 people killed and 7,329 injured in 2013 traffic accidents in Riverside County, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide integrated Traffic Report. In the city of Jurupa Valley, there were 10 deaths and 361 injuries that year including six alcohol-related deaths, the CHP statistics report said.
