JURUPA VALLEY, California (March 6, 2015) — Michael Sanders, 63, of Palmdale was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-car crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Highway 60, according to a press release by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
About 2:45 p.m., Sanders was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on the Interstate 15 Freeway when he crashed into the back of a Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck in the No. 1 lane. The Chevrolet was pushed forward into a Jeep Cherokee and then into the shoulder on the right. Sander’s Ford pickup truck veered into the center divider wall and he was critically injured.
Paramedics responded to the scene of the crash to assist those who were injured, but Sanders died at the scene about 3:06 p.m.
Police are investigating the crash and will issue a report with their findings.
