Motorcyclist Injured in Jurupa Valley Hit-and-Run at Valley and Mission
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (January 16, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured a motorcyclist at Valley Way and Mission Boulevard in Jurupa Valley.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 4:08 p.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the motorcycle rider for an unknown reason in Jurupa Valley. The two crashed at the intersection of Valley Way and Mission Boulevard.
Driver Hits Rider, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the 60 Freeway. They found the motorcyclist down in lanes as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to render aid to the rider and fled the area. They described the car as a silver SUV.
Officers forced the corner of Valley and Mission to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Jurupa Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
