Deputy Injured After Car Crashes Into Pole in Front of Glen Avon Market Shopping Center Sunday
Jurupa Valley, CA (September 15, 2020) – A female deputy suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Mission Boulevard Sunday morning, the Riverside County News Source reported.
Our sources indicated a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department patrol cruiser crashed into a pole in the 9000 block of Mission Boulevard near Glen Street. The accident took place around 2:15 a.m. in front of the Glen Avon Market Shopping Center.

Per news article, the patrol car careened across the roadway after the hitting the pole. First responders found the patrol car facing the wrong way on a sidewalk about 30 to 50 feet from the light pole it struck.
When emergency teams arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to the sole occupant in the patrol cruiser. Paramedics provided treatment to the female deputy for unspecified injuries.
According to the news article, investigators and CHP officers were seen interviewing the occupants of a grey sedan, but it was not immediately known if the vehicle had been involved in the collision or if the occupants witnessed the crash.
Detectives handling the case continue to determine the circumstances behind what led to the collision.
