JURUPA VALLEY, California (Tuesday, February 9, 2016) – Paul Crowley, 84, died in a multi-vehicle traffic collision that sparked a fire on Pacific Avenue, approximately 200 feet north of Humble Street . The Riverside County Fire Department tried to save Mr. Crowley to no avail.
According to Press Enterprise, a midnight hit-and-run fatally wounded Mr. Crowley. He died minutes later at the scene. The hit-and-run vehicle is believed to be a burgundy or other dark-colored four-door sedan that drove west on Mission Boulevard from Pacific Avenue, Sgt. Bill Davis said in a written statement.
The incident took place Monday morning at about 12:01 a.m., according to an incident report by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner. Mr. Crowley was pronounced dead at 12:16 a.m.
