Justin Curry Killed in Hemet Motorcycle Accident on North Meridian Street
Pickup Truck Turns into Path of Motorcyclists in Tragic Accident
HEMET, CA (May 27, 2026) — Justin Curry, 34, of Hemet, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a collision on May 22nd after a pickup truck reportedly turned into his path at on Meridian Street in Hemet, authorities said.
The victim was identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau as Justin Curry, 34, of Hemet. Curry was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries in the crash.
According to preliminary information, the collision occurred around 2:58 p.m. on May 22 at the intersection of North Meridian Street and Berkley Avenue in a residential area of Hemet. Investigators said the driver of a pickup truck was traveling on Berkley Avenue with a stop sign. The driver attempted to make a left turn onto Meridian Street and pulled out directly into the path of an oncoming motorcyclist. The motorcyclist did not have a stop sign along Meridian and had the right-of-way. The motorcycle rider crashed into the front driver’s side of the pickup truck.
The impact left Curry critically injured in the roadway. Officials said he was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:10 p.m. near North Meridian Street, about 65 feet north of Berkley Avenue. The victim was the father of two children, ages five and two, according to one report.
The Hemet Police Department is investigating the fatal collision under case number 2026-03847. Authorities have not released details regarding potential contributing factors, including speed, impairment, or whether any citations or arrests are expected.
