Vehicle Fatally Hits Man Near Broadmoor Plaza Monday
Santa Barbara, CA (March 17, 2022) – Justin Howze Juniel, a 40-year-old Santa Barbara resident, died following a pedestrian accident occurred on State Street.
On March 14, Monday, a vehicle struck a male party in Santa Barbara. The Noozhawk News reported Juniel was crossing from Broadmoor Plaza to the north side of State Street. For reasons still under investigation, an oncoming motorist was unable to avoid and hit the man. The horrible crash took place at about 8:30 p.m.
Responding emergency crews found Juniel with serious injuries. Due to his condition, paramedics rushed the man to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. The patient later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased as Justin Howze Juniel.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event.
The SBPD Critical Accident Reconstruction Team continue to investigate the deadly pedestrian accident on State Street.
