Wrong-way Crash Highway 50; Brett Walter Arrested DUI
SACRAMENTO, Ca (September 22, 2019) – Two men suffered major injuries early Monday morning following a wrong-way collision on westbound US Highway 50 in Sacramento.
Justin Daniel Miller, 29, of San Ramon, was driving a 2002 Toyota pickup truck when he was struck head-on by a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek about 12:20 a.m. Brett Austin Walter, 25, of Fair Oaks, was allegedly driving the Subaru on the wrong side of Highway 50, just east of Harbor Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Paramedics responded and extricated Walter from the Subaru.
Both Walter and Miller were transported by ambulances to the UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries. Police later arrested Walter on suspicion of DUI.
