
Vehicle Hits Boy on Catalina Boulevard
San Diego, CA (May 14, 2023) – An 11-year-old boy suffered multiple injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Catalina Boulevard in the Point Loma area Saturday evening, May 13.
The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported the juvenile was playing toy swords with a friend. During the game, the boy stepped onto Catalina Boulevard from a dirt path between Dudley and Charles Street near Point Loma Nazarene University.
Major Pedestrian Accident in San Diego
An oncoming southbound car struck the child. According to the article published online, the force from the impact resulted in serious trauma to the boy including a fractured pelvis; leg fractures; a hematoma on the left side of his head; and many abrasions. Emergency crews responded to the crash site shortly after 7 p.m. and immediately rendered aid to the juvenile. Subsequently, an ambulance rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the accident that happened on Catalina Boulevard in San Diego.
