Fatal Rear-End Collision on Interstate 5
Lost Hills, CA (March 10, 2023) – Kade Reed Pascal, a 24-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 5 Freeway Tuesday, March 7.
The Bakersfield Now News reported a car crashed into a semi-trailer truck on the freeway north of Twisselman Road in Lost Hills. According to the article published online, the Volkswagen Jetta slammed into the back of the truck.
Deadly Car Accident in Lost Hills
Shortly after 7:35 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location and found the driver of the Volkswagen pinned in the wreckage. Firefighters extricated the victim, then paramedics rendered aid to the man. Despite life-saving efforts performed by medical personnel, the driver sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as Kade Reed Pascal, of Carmichael.
Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene the whole evening. At this time, they continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal crash that happened on Interstate 5 in Lost Hills.
