Driver Dies in Head-On Collision Near Avenue 15
Madera County, CA (September 16, 2022) – Kalia Emani Bess, a 23-year-old Fresno resident, suffered fatal injuries following a car accident that occurred on Highway 41.
According to an article published online by Your Central Valley, two vehicles collided head-on near Avenue 15. Earlier reports indicated a pickup was heading north on Highway 41 Thursday morning. As the pickup approached Avenue 15, a sedan traveling in the same direction crashed into the pickup.
Officials said the incident took place in the area where the traffic lanes merged. Due to the force from the impact, the sedan spun out of control and veered into the opposite lanes. The sedan ended up crashing head-on into a southbound SUV.
Fatal Car Accident on Highway 41 in Madera County
Shortly after 8:16 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. Responding paramedics checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the driver of the sedan–Kalia Emani Bess, sadly died in the collision.
The driver of the SUV reportedly sustained major trauma; while the driver of the pickup appeared unharmed.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the catastrophic incident that happened on Highway 41 in Madera County.
