Karen Carrillo, 22, Killed in Fontana Crash on Sierra Avenue
FONTANA, CA (February 20, 2022) – Karen Carrillo was killed after a car crash on Sierra Avenue in the city of Fontana.
The coroner’s office identified the 22-year-old Riverside woman as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday.
The incident happened when Karen Carrillo was riding a car on Sierra Avenue, south of Jurupa Avenue, in Fontana. For an unknown reason, she then collided head-on with another vehicle.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
Karen Carrillo ended up trapped inside her car as a result of the crash. The On Scene TV wrote that the accident occurred on February 19 at about 2:48 a.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then extricated the victim from the wreckage. They soon pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers did not disclose if any other party ended up hurt in the incident. Police forced a stretch of Sierra Avenue to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the Fontana crash is still under investigation.
