Karlon Odeon Reid Killed in Carmichael Motorcycle Accident
CARMICHAEL, Calif. (June 16, 2021) – Karlon Reid, 39, of Carmichael, died in a collision between his motorcyclist and another driver at Cypress Avenue and Stillmeadow Way in Carmichael.
The fatal crash happened about 1:37 p.m. on Sunday, June 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The driver in an older Mercedes allegedly made a turn directly in front of the motorcycle rider, police said.
Furthermore, the motorcyclist was unable to avoid colliding into the side of the car at the intersection of Cypress Avenue and Stillmeadow Way.
Motorcycle, Car Collision Near Gibbons Community Park
Firefighters responded to the scene near the Gibbons Community Park. They located the badly-injured motorcyclist who soon after died on scene. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner later released the name of Karlon Reid as the victim who died.
Meanwhile, the CHP closed down the intersection following the Carmichael motorcycle accident. It’s unknown if the other motorist cooperated with police or if any citations or arrests were made.
Furthermore, the cause of the fatal Carmichael crash remains under investigation.
