Teen Killed in Lake Elsinore Crash
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (July 7, 2021) — Kasie Hernandez, 19, of Moreno Valley, died and another person was seriously injured in a solo-vehicle Lake Elsinore collision.
The Moreno Valley teen died at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Ohio Street, according to the Lake Elsinore-Wildomar, CA Patch. The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner reports her time of death at 12:10 a.m. on Friday, July 2nd, just minutes after the 11:57 p.m. crash.
Meanwhile, firefighters responding to the collision located only one vehicle with two occupants. The driver of the vehicle crashed into a wall, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Kasie Hernandez suffered major injuries and died on the scene. Additionally, paramedics transported the second person by ambulance to a hospital in serious condition, police said.
Investigators did not mention which person drove the vehicle. Also, it’s unknown what led up to the crash at this time.
