Kassandra Soto, 23, Hospitalized After Collision on Highway 101 Near Dos Pueblos Canyon Thursday
Goleta, CA (June 5, 2021) – Kassandra Soto, a 23-year-old Goleta woman, suffered serious injuries following a car accident on Highway 101 on June 3, Thursday.
According to an article published online by Noozhawk, a single-vehicle crashed in the southbound side of Highway 101 in Goleta. The collision took place just west of Dos Pueblos Canyon.
First responders found at the accident scene a 2014 Toyota Corolla smashed against a tree; and flipped on its right side. The force from the impact reportedly ejected a female passenger, later identified as Kassandra Soto.
An AMR ambulance arrived at the location shortly after 2:15 a.m. and rushed the woman to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Kassandra Soto received treatement for serious injuries including head trauma.

Meanwhile, investigators determined the driver of the Toyota Corolla was drunk at the time of the collision. Police then arrested the man on suspicion of felony drunken driving causing injury, and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08% or greater causing injury.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch continue to investigate the DUI car crash in Goleta.
