Woman ID’d After Being Killed in Crash on 5 Freeway in Irvine
IRVINE, Calif. (March 23, 2020) – Katherine Morris, 29, was killed Sunday after she was thrown from an overturned car on the Interstate 5 Freeway in Irvine.
The collision took place about 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 22nd in Orange County, according to the Orange County Coroner.
The car was traveling in the northbound lanes of the freeway at Jamboree Road when it overturned multiple times, the California Highway Patrol reported. It’s unknown whether or not other motorists were involved, nor whether Morris was a passenger or the driver.
Police say that Morris was found unresponsive after she was thrown onto the right shoulder of the freeway. Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
