SACRAMENTO, Ca (June 9, 2019) – Kathleen Rouppet, 27, of San Jose, has been identified as the second woman who died in a aolo-vehicle collision Sunday on Highway 50.
Also killed in the crash was Monique Perales, 28, of Stockton. Both women were riding in a black Chevrolet sedan that allegedly drifted off the highway and crashed on the 15th Street on-ramp, the KCRA News reported. The vehicle then crashed into a concrete pole and went airborne before it finally slammed into a tree where it caught on fire with the victims trapped inside.
The collision reportedly took place about 12:40 a.m. on June 9th.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation into whether or not drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
