Woman Killed in Jurupa Valley Crash is Identified
JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. (June 30, 2022) – Kathy Atterberry, 65, of Jurupa Valley, died Tuesday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash at Mission Boulevard and Pacific Avenue in Jurupa Valley.
The hit-and-run crash happened around 7:20 p.m. on June 28th at the Jurupa Valley intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was walking at the intersection when a vehicle struck her and fled the scene.
Meanwhile, police located the injured pedestrian and tried to help her, but she died at the scene about 7:48 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
There is no description of the hit-and-run suspect at this time.
Furthermore, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department – Jurupa Valley is investigating the crash.
