Homeless Woman Dies at Hospital Days After Collision Near Highway 41

Fresno, CA (May 1, 2023) – Kathy Esqueda, a 61-year-old woman, succumbed to their injuries following a traffic accident that occurred near the area of Ashlan Avenue and Highway 41.

According to Your Central Valley News, a vehicle plowed into a tent in Fresno on April 24, Monday. Earlier reports indicated the collision took place near Ashlan and SR-41. Emergency crews later arrived and found two woman suffering in serious injuries. Our sources confirmed a 30-year-old woman sadly died in the crash.

Meanwhile, the second victim, Kathy Esqueda, was rushed to the hospital. On April 26, Wednesday, the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away.

Preliminary investigation revealed witnesses spotted a woman and a child walking away from the accident scene. Police later found the suspicious parties and later determined the adult female was behind the wheel of the vehicle that crashed into the tent. The article published online mentioned the woman was drunk when the collision happened.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the deadly accident that happened at Ashlan Avenue and Highway 41 in Fresno.
