2 Female Teens Killed in Accident on I-5 Friday
Tracy, CA (September 19, 2020) – Two 17-year-old female parties died in a car crash that occurred on Tracy Boulevard ramp from Interstate 205 in Tracy Friday evening, the KCRA News reported.
The Patterson Unified School District identified the two fatal victims as high school seniors.
Preliminary investigation revealed an officer tried to pull over a vehicle traveling south on Interstate 5 in Lathrop on Friday around 7 p.m. However, the driver reportedly failed to yield and took off, leading officers to a short chase. Our sources indicated the officer lost sight of the vehicle during the pursuit, then discontinued the chase.
A short time after, officers found the same suspect car exiting at Tracy Boulevard from Interstate 205. Authorities said the vehicle drove into the junction at a high speed, causing the driver to lose control of the automobile. The vehicle ended up careening off the roadway, and smashing into a tree.

Responding emergency teams found four people trapped inside the wrecked car. Paramedics sadly pronounced the two men, and two women dead. According to the news article, the female victims were a 17-year-old Patterson resident, and a 17-year-old Turlock resident. Authorities confirmed neither of the women were behind the wheel of the vehicle when the horrible car crash in Tracy happened.
Additional details on the catastrophic incident have not been revealed thus far. Further investigation is ongoing.
