Keandre Taylor, 4, Killed in Car Accident Friday on California City Boulevard
CALIFORNIA CITY (April 30, 2018) – A 4-year-old boy was killed in an alleged drunken driving car crash Friday morning on California City Boulevard, according to ABC News.
Officials have identified the fatality as Keandre Zayah Lewis Taylor.
Preliminary investigation revealed the boy was a passenger in a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by his father, 31-year-old Kaith Zeldon Taylor, at the time of the accident.
Per article, the crash happened when Kaith veered off his lane and drove into the oncoming traffic on the highway, between Highway 14 and Mitchell Boulevard. The Tahoe crashed into an ambulance, which then spun and rolled onto its side as a result of the impact.
Responding emergency teams found the Tahoe totaled on its passenger side.
Keandre was reportedly ejected from the Tahoe. The child succumbed to his injuries and was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials confirmed the boy was the son of Taylor.

Some of the medical personnel riding the ambulance involved suffered injuries in the collision. Their extent of injuries, and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, Taylor was booked into the Kern County Jail with charges relating to the death of his son and the injuries of the ambulance crew. Authorities mentioned Taylor was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
