Motorcyclist Injured, Suspect Arrested in 2-Vehicle Crash
KEARNY MESA, Calif. (Oct. 16, 2023) — A suspected drunken driver struck a motorcycle rider in a car accident on Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15th, according to the Times of San Diego.
A man driving a Chrysler 300 sedan reportedly made a left-hand turn into the Adult Emporium parking lot and crossed into the path of the northbound motorcycle rider. The two vehicles collided and the rider was injured.
The rider sustained leg injuries and reportedly could not feel his legs, the report said.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver from the Chrysler reportedly failed a sobriety test and was arrested by San Diego police.
Authorities closed down the intersection for more than two hours to investigate.
