At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Woodford-Tehachapi Road Sunday
Keene, CA (March 13, 2022) – A fatal traffic accident occurred early Sunday on State Route 58, also know as Barstow-Bakersfield Highway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a big rig collided with a tanker truck in the westbound side of the highway in Keene. The CHP logged the incident around 2:27 a.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found at least one person with serious injuries. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event have not been revealed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine exactly how and why the fatal crash happened. Further investigation is underway on the deadly accident on State Route 58 in Keene.
