Passenger Killed in Car Accident at Pine Creek Road and Moon Lane Saturday
Salyer, CA (January 18, 2022) – Police arrested 18-year-old Keiahna Moody following a deadly car crash that occurred in the area of Pine Creek Road and Moon Lane.
According to an article published online by Times-Standard, Moody was behind the wheel of a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser traveling north on Pine Creek Road. When vehicle approached the intersection at Moon Lane, the driver lost control and veered into the opposite side. Our sources indicated the Chrysler went into a ditch and overturned.
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 2:53 p.m. First responders found the car blocking Pine Creek Road.
Medical personnel rendered aid to both Moody and her passenger. Despite life-saving measures, the 18-year-old passenger sadly succumbed to her injuries and died.
Meanwhile, paramedics rendered aid to the driver. After she was medically clear, police arrested Keiahna Moody for Felony DUI of drugs and gross vehicular manslaughter.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
