Kellie Jones, 43, Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Roberts Avenue
Santa Rosa, CA (March 31, 2021) – 43-year-old Kellie Jones died following a hit-and-run collision on Roberts Avenue on March 23, Tuesday.
The FOX40 News reported Kellie Jones was standing in front of a homeless camp in Santa Rosa around 9:50 p.m.
According to the news article published online, two male parties appeared to be fighting in the area. While in the middle of the argument, one person got into their vehicle and accelerated towards the homeless camp.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly intentionally struck the other male party. In the process, the motorist also hit Kellie Jones.
When emergency teams arrived at the location, they found the woman pinned underneath the car. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim. Sadly, the woman suffered fatal injuries in the collision and died.
Authorities added the male party being intentionally hit suffered injuries to their legs. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim remained undisclosed.

Per local news source, the driver involved in the catastrophic incident fled the scene before police arrived.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding Santa Rosa accident that killed Kellie Jones.
