Kelly Carrington, 52, Killed in Huntington Beach Bicycle Crash on Pacific Coast Highway
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (January 21, 2022) – Kelly Carrington was killed after a bicycle crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.
The coroner’s office identified the 52-year-old Los Angeles man as the victim in the fatal collision which took place on Thursday.
The incident happened on January 20 when Kelly Carrington was riding a bicycle on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach. At the same time, a Lexus ES 350 sedan was going north on PCH.
2 Car Occupants Injured in Collision
Police said for an unknown reason, the car then struck the bicyclist north of Seapoint Street. The Orange County Register and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred at about 11:20 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found Kelly Carrington and the bicycle down on the ground. They soon pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
The two occupants of the Lexus sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took them to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Pacific Coast Highway to shut down for a time following the crash. The cause of the Huntington Beach incident is still under investigation.
