Kenneth Rawlings Fatally Struck Near Macy Street
WHITTIER (August 24, 2017) – 69-year-old Kenneth Rawlings died after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver on Janine Drive Wednesday morning, according to Whittier Daily News.
Officials said Rawlings was taking his morning walk when he was suddenly hit by a vehicle, just west of Macy Street. The involved motorist reportedly fled the scene following the collision.
Whittier Fatal Accident
As per the article, emergency crews arrived in the 16800 block of Janine Drive shortly after 7:30 a.m. There, they found Rawlings suffering in unspecified injuries. The victim was then immediately taken to Whittier Hospital where he later died.
Primary investigation revealed a black Toyota Prius, or a similar type of automobile, was seen driving along the area when the accident took place but it was not clear whether it was considered as the suspect.
