Kensington: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on State Route 15

Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Adams Avenue

Kensington, CA (April 29, 2023) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 15 Thursday evening, April 27.

The San Diego Union-Tribune and FOX5 News reported a Chevrolet Silverado struck an individual in the northbound side of SR-15, just south of Adams Avenue in the Kensington area. Officials said the horrible crash took place at approximately 9 p.m.

Pedestrian Killed in Kensington Accident

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the victim lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the injured party but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away before being taken to the hospital. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

Police shut down multiple lanes on the freeway to give way to the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on State Route Highway 15 in Kensington.
