Fatal Traffic Collision Near Union Avenue

Modesto, CA (November 16, 2022) – Kent Warn, a 61-year-old man, died following a road accident that occurred on McHenry Avenue Tuesday evening.

The Modesto Bee News reported Warn was riding a bike traveling in the area near Union Avenue. Our sources indicated the cyclist crossed McHenry in an easterly direction. While in the roadway, a Hyundai sedan heading north on McHenry struck the bicyclist. The catastrophic incident took place shortly before 7 p.m.

Cyclist Killed in Modesto Crash on McHenry Avenue

When medical personnel arrived at the site, they found the elderly man suffering in serious injuries. Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his trauma and sadly died. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Kent Warn, of Modesto.

Meanwhile, the woman driving the Hyundai reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives continue to work at this time to determine liability in the deadly accident that happened on McHenry Avenue in Modesto.
