HACIENDA HEIGHTS, California (June 2, 2016) — Keona Stewart, 36, of Los Angeles was trapped in a car underneath a big rig truck early Thursday morning after a fatal crash on the eastbound State Route 60 Pomona Freeway at Hacienda Boulevard, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 4:12 a.m. this morning. Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to extricate the person who was pinned in their Saturn after the crash.
Police issued a SigAlert for at least an hour for the Nos. 3, 4 and 5 lanes as they were blocked.
A tow truck was sent to the scene to remove the Saturn which had major front-end damage.
A full investigation into liability for the crash is underway by police.
