Motorcyclist Injured in Collision in Front of Napa Auto Parts
KERMAN (September 28, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was injured following an accident with another vehicle this morning on Whitesbridge Road (Highway 180) directly in front of Napa Auto Parts.
Authorities were dispatched to the crash site at roughly 9:22 a.m. where an alleged pickup truck had struck the rider.
Both Fresno Sheriff personnel and the Kerman PD were also called to the scene.
Limited details were provided, however, it was confirmed to the motorcyclist was moderate to seriously injured requiring the victim to be transported to a local area hospital.
At this time, the cause of the accident is unclear while CHP officials and several other agencies join together to work on a traffic collision report.

California Highway Patrol will carry out a forensic examination of both the vehicle and the motorcycle, as well as photos that were taken of the scene, will help investigators determine which party ultimately caused the accident. Authorities will thoroughly look into how fast each driver was going, whether or not alcohol or drugs were involved, whether or not there were any mechanical issues with either vehicle, whether or not one of the involved parties failed to yield to the right of way motorist. The investigation will also consist of looking at measurements of evidence left by the vehicles such as point of impact, final resting positions of each vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
