2-Vehicle Crash on State Route Highway 166 in Kern County
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 10, 2021) — A Kern County accident on Highway 166 happened Friday between two motorists.
The California Highway Patrol reported the collision at 12:48 p.m. on Sept. 10th. Two vehicles collided on SR-166 near Short Road.
One of the vehicles reportedly overturned onto its roof and the other crashed into an embankment, police said. The CHP report stated one of the motorists was recklessly driving prior to the collision.
Major Injury Crash Highway 166
Firefighters responded and took at least one person to a hospital due to major injuries. Meanwhile, it’s unknown how many people in total suffered injuries, according to the CHP report.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the Kern County crash on on State Route 166. It’s unknown what led up to the collision between the two vehicles. Witnesses may contact the CHP. The report did not mention if any arrests or citations will be made.
