BORON, Kern County (November 18, 2016) – A fatal traffic collision took place on eastbound Highway 58 Friday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when a male driver of an unknown vehicle rear-ended a big rig at approximately 8:30 p.m. The crash occurred just east of Borax Road.
As per the report, Kern County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one person was killed following the wreck.
The name of the deceased has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
