Kerry Welsh, 19, Killed in West Covina Crash at Vine and Hollenbeck Avenues
WEST COVINA, CA (May 31, 2021) – A car crash at Vine and Hollenbeck avenues killed Kerry Welsh in West Covina.
Family members and friends identified the 19-year-old West Covina woman as the victim of the fatal wreck which occurred on Saturday night.
The incident happened on May 29 when Kerry Welsh was driving in the area of Vine and Hollenbeck avenues in West Covina.
Driver Runs Stop Sign, Fatally Hits Another Motorist
CBS Los Angeles wrote that another car ran through a stop sign and t-boned her vehicle at the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Kerry Welsh ended up severely injured as a result of the crash. Medical personnel rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
Meanwhile, officials also took the other driver for treatment of unspecified injuries. Witnesses claimed that one of the occupants of the suspect car smelled of alcohol at the time.
Officers forced the intersection of Vine and Hollenbeck to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the West Covina crash is still under investigation.
