Jeanne Bruneau, 72, Killed in Riverside DUI Car Accident
RIVERSIDE (January 3, 2019) – An alleged DUI driver killed an elderly motorist at La Sierra Avenue and Lake Knoll Parkway Friday, December 28, according to The Press-Enterprise.
Kevin Keith Crocker, 41, was arrested after the fatal collision which occurred shortly after 4 p.m.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol reported the Chevrolet pickup that Crocker was driving struck a GMC Acadia on La Sierra Avenue at Lake Knoll Parkway.
The operator of the GMC, 72-year-old Riverside resident Jeanne Bruneau, was traveling north prior to the wreck. As she was waiting in a left-turn pocket, she was hit from behind by the truck.
Suspected Drunk Driver ID’d as Kevin Crocker, 41
CHP affirmed that the woman was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Four other people suffered minor injuries in the wreck.
Meanwhile, CHP believed that Crocker was under the influence of alcohol at the time. He was then arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, hit-and-run causing death, driving under the influence of alcohol while causing bodily injury and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 or greater while causing bodily injury.
However, the Riverside man was released after posting a $75,000 bail on December 29. The incident remains under investigation.
