Kevin Dahl, 33, Kills Teen Pedestrian in Long Beach DUI Crash
LONG BEACH, CA (September 5, 2021) – Authorities detained Kevin Dahl after a DUI crash that killed a teenage boy in Long Beach.
Police determined that the 33-year-old Lakewood man was under the influence when the fatal collision took place on Saturday night.
The incident began when Kevin Chris Dahl was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tracker south on Los Coyotes Diagonal in Long Beach. At the same time, a 16-year-old boy was walking in a marked crosswalk.

Long Beach police said Kevin Dahl then struck the pedestrian crossing the intersection with Deborah Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics and found the victim lying on the ground.
The Long Beach teen died at the scene. The Press Telegram and KTLA News wrote that the accident occurred on September 4 at about 9:10 p.m.
Meanwhile, police soon arrested Kevin Dahl on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. They set his bail at $100,000, but they later released him on bond Sunday.
