
Two Killed in Riverside Car Accident
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (June 29 2023— Kevin Olvera, 19, of Riverside, is one of two men who died in a fatal pedestrian accident in Riverside on Van Buren Boulevard.
The collision occurred about 11:48 p.m. on June 25th, according to KTLA News.
A 17-year old Perris resident driving a 2011 GMC pickup truck was allegedly speeding down Van Buren Boulevard. He reportedly lost control of the car and struck two pedestrians and a German Shepard dog. Kevin Olivera is one of the two pedestrians killed. The second man is in his 30s, according to a report by ABC7. Kevin Olivera recently welcomed a new born baby before the accident.
Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced both pedestrians deceased. The teenage driver was detained but suffered internal injuries so he was taken to the hospital.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the collision.
It’s unknown at this time if alcohol was involved.
