Kevin Robert Reyes Killed in Orcutt Car Crash

Fatal Head-On Collision on Highway 135

Orcutt, CA (April 10, 2023) – Kevin Robert Reyes, a 22-year-old man, died following a car accident that occurred on State Route Highway 135.

The KSBY News reported Reyes, of Santa Maria, was behind the wheel of a Honda Accord traveling on SR-135 in Orcutt. When the car approached the area near Rice Ranch Road, it crashed head-on into a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 27-year-old woman from Lompoc.

Officials said the horrible collision took place Monday evening, April 3.

Deadly Car Accident in Orcutt

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found the driver of the Honda unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the man but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Santa Barbara County Coroner’s Bureau identified the deceased as Kevin Robert Reyes.

Authorities added the driver of the Toyota sustained major injuries in the crash. An air ambulance transported the patient to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for further treatment.

At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly car accident that happened on Highway 135 in Orcutt.
