Kevin Serrano, 18, Killed in Fresno County Crash at Lincoln and Fowler Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 15, 2022) – Kevin Serrano was killed after a crash at Lincoln and Fowler avenues in Fresno County.
The coroner’s office 18-year-old Mendota man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Friday morning.
The incident happened when Kevin Serrano was riding as a passenger a van traveling east on Lincoln Avenue in Fresno County. At the same time, an SUV was going south on Fowler Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said the van carrying eight farm laborers either failed to stop at the intersection or pulled in front of the SUV.
2 Vehicles Collide
In the process, the two vehicles collided. The Fresno Bee and Your Central Valley wrote that the accident occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m.
Kevin Serrano ended up ejected from the van as a result of the crash. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV and the other seven people in the van survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel took one of the occupants of the van to an area hospital for further aid.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the corner of Lincoln and Fowler avenues to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
