Highway 29 Head-on Crash Near Calistoga
CALISTOGA, Calif. (July 9, 2021) — Kevin Young, 33, of Windsor, is among two injured in a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning outside Calistoga.
Young suffered major injuries in the collision that blocked Highway 29 for roughly an hour and a half, police said.
Additionally, the collision happened about 6:30 a.m. when Kevin Young was traveling north on Highway 29 in a 2011 Ford Mustang coupe.

For unknown reasons, his vehicle allegedly crossed the center line just north of Azalea Springs Road, according to a California Highway Patrol spokesperson.
Also, the Ford collided head-on into a southbound 2015 GMC Sierra driven by Eric Valencia Jr., 33, of Santa Rosa.
Kevin Young suffered major injuries in the Highway 29 collision. Paramedics transported him by ambulance to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center, police said.
Meanwhile, an ambulance also transferred Eric Valencia to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Finally, investigators continue to piece together what happened.
