1 Injured in Crash on Southbound Highway 99 Near Keyes Road
KEYES, CA (July 4, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 99 in Keyes on Saturday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on July 3. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:08 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed on the southbound side of Highway 99, just north of East Keyes Road.
2 Cars Collide in Keyes
The incident log described one of the cars involved as a Chevrolet Tahoe. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel then found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They took the patient to the Doctors Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Keyes crash.
