KEYES, Stanislaus County (September 20, 2016) – According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, injuries were reported following a hit-and-run collision on Highway 99 Tuesday evening.
The multi-vehicle crash happened near Mitchell Road off-ramp shortly after 7:30 p.m.
As per the log, an involved party called to report a white Chevrolet Blazer that hit its vehicle and several others then continued driving away. The hit-and-run suspect injured at least one person who sustained minor trauma. Further, a hispanic male adult wearing a red shirt was found at the scene but his identity and role in the accident remain unclear.
Responding officers located at the crash site one overturned vehicle, another slammed against the center divider, and a third car that flew off the roadway. Investigators are still looking into details on how the traffic accident transpired.
A search operation has been launched for the hit-and-run driver.
