Pedestrian Killed Near Park on Hampton Oak Drive
ELK GROVE, Calif. (November 18, 2022) – Khanjan Bahadury, 73, of Elk Grove, died following a pedestrian accident near a park at Hampton Oak Drive and Canyon View Drive.
The fatal crash occurred about 7 a.m. on Nov. 2nd near Jennie McConnell Park, according to FOX40 News. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on its website.
The Elk Grove man was apparently dressed in dark clothing as he attempted to cross the road. The pedestrian was struck by an oncoming motorist in a Nissan Altima.
Police reports stated the Nissan Altima failed to slow down and hit the pedestrian.
Paramedics responded and found Khanjan Bahadury suffering from major injuries. Despite efforts to save his life, he died from his injuries.
The driver involved reportedly stopped and cooperated with authorities and the investigation.
Police do not suspect speed was a factor in the collision.
