Kiara Zarate, 29, Killed in Palm Springs Crash on North Gene Autry Trail
PALM SPRINGS, CA (October 17, 2021) – Kiara Zarate was killed after a car crash on North Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs.
The sheriff’s office identified the 29-year-old Desert Hot Springs woman as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday.
The incident happened when Kiara Zarate was riding a vehicle which collided with another in Palm Springs. The two crashed for an unknown reason on North Gene Autry Trail.
2 Vehicles Collide
Police said the accident occurred on October 16 at about 11:56 p.m. The Desert Sun and KESQ News wrote that the area is just south of Salvia Road and the Interstate 10.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found Kiara Zarate suffering from serious injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel soon pronounced her dead at the scene. Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of North Gene Autry Trail to shut down for several hours following the wreck.
The cause of the Palm Springs crash is still under investigation.
