According to an article published by Action News Now, the Chevy allegedly made an unsafe turn and veered into into the opposing lane. The sedan went directly into the path of the truck.
The pickup truck, believed to be a state vehicle for the CDC, then rolled over while the Chevy slammed into a pole on the north side of the road.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported both Silva and the operator of the sedan to local hospitals with unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, CHP determined that the driver of the Chevy was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs when the wreck occurred. They ultimately arrested the suspect.
